Update Section Status for Registration

What must be done before this process is started:
Run program "Populate Registration Dates(XRGD) this will build the required dates on SRGD. Also run "Contact Hours Populate" (XCHP), this will assign the Attendance Accounting Methods on SFIN, as well as calculate the contact hours and contact measure for each section.

It is highly recommended to run all error reports and correct all section data before continuing this process.

The status of sections in a term will be changed from "Pending" to "Active" allowing students to register into these sections.
What steps must be taken independent of the computer system (Manual Process)
Which steps must be taken on a computer (Electronic Process):
1. Login to Infomer

2. Access "Create Savelist of Sections to Update Section Status" query and run to create a savelist of sections.(see document "Steps To Creating Savelist of Sections using Informer" in the Instructional Office folder in the Colleague document library)

3. Login to Colleague

4. Access the SBSC - Section Batch Status Change

5. Enter "A" (no quotes) in New Status field. You will get a message - "WARNING" student will be able to register for the sections - click OK.

6. Enter a "N" in the Rebill Immediately field.

7. In the Saved List Name field enter the name of the savelist from Step 2. Press enter, the sections from the savedlist file will be populated into the Include Sections area of the screen. Select Save All

8. IF you get an ALERT message about a certain section scroll down through the list, find the section click on the number to the left of the section, a box will appear, click on Delete button to delete the section from the list. Select Save All. You will get a Colleague processing window showing the Section Batch Status Change process running. When it is complete the box will disappear and the sections will have a status of Active, allowing students to register.
