Which steps must be taken on a computer (Electronic Process):
Start testing with the essay test.

While students are writing their essays, Proctor will data enter names and SSN in Microsoft Access database called `Assessment`. Instructions to use the database is self explanatory. After all names are entered scan the answer sheet for the Multiple Measures survey using Scantools. From Scantools choose `SurveyRevised2 - 581. When scanning is complete, click the button `Determine Math Test` from the assessment database in order to distribute the appropriate Math test.

By the time the students have complete the essay test, the Proctor will have printed all the appropriate Math tests for the students.

When the Math test is completed, the Proctor will instruct the students to continue with the Reading test (Compass). Compass is an electronic reading test installed in all the workstations in the Assessment office.

While the students are taking the Reading test, the Proctor will scan the Math tests. Use Scantools and choose Math from the menu. Next follow the instructions on the Assessment database to print the Math results.

When the students have completed the Reading test, the Proctor must logon to Compass to get the test results. Click Tools from the menu and choose Concatenate. A window will come up. Find and choose the `reading.msr` file. Then go to the Assessment database and click on button `Process Reading Scores`. This will take the scores from Compass and load it to the Assessment database. If the process to Concatenate is not working, you can print the students scores from Compass and manually data enter the scores into the Assessment database.

To print the Compass Reading scores, click on Edit from the menu and choose Find Student. Click on the right button on the mouse to pull up the window to enter the student`s SSN to search for the student`s score. When Compass finds the student double click on the name. Follow the system prompts to print the scores. To manually enter the reading scores into the Assessment database, click on `Update Missing Reading Scores`.

To process the English scores from the essay test click on button `Go to English Scores Menu` to data enter the scores for the essays.

When all scores are complete, click `Print Student`s Results for English, Reading and Math`. During the day of the test only the Math and Reading scores will be available. To load the test scores to Datatel click on `End of Day!`
