What must be done before this process is started:

WebTrak Profile Defined for office where WebTrak is being installed. Identify PC where WebTrak is to be installed and equip it with a swipe card reader (e.g. Cherry keyboard). The PC must have a network connection, for Internet Browser acccess to WebTrak webpage and latest service packs installed.

What steps must be taken independent of the computer system (Manual Process)

Which steps must be taken on a computer (Electronic Process):

At the PC where WebTrak is to be installed, 1) Log into PC to be used by office staff as system admin (so WebTrak will work for all office staff). 2) Open Internet Browser 3) Enter WebTrak URL Address: http://ccentral.sbccd.cc.ca.us/Forms/Student/WebTrak4/index.php?Profile=(profile name) and save as "Home Page". 4) If PC is to be dedicated to WebTrak, Enter the Internet Browser in the PC`s startup file. 5) Be sure browser has Auto Complete turned off, so prior student ids are NOT shown as students checkin. Tools, Internet Options, Content, AutoComplete - turn off all checkmarks. 6) Logoff as Admin - have office staff login under their own user names. Be sure WebTrak starts up as expected and Auto Complete functions remains off.
