Display/Cancel Datatel Print Request in Que/Spoolr

Log into SSH Secure Shell (PREFERRED Method)
OR
Log into Datatel via terminal mode or via telnet.(Alternate Method)

Log in via Telnet:
1. Click on "Start"
2. Click on "Run"
3. Type in "cmd"
4. In the black window that appears, type in "datatel"
5. Enter your login and password

PERFERRED METHOD

1. Log into SAM (using SSH Secure Shell)
2. Select Printers and Plotters
3. Select LP Spooler
4. Select Print Requests
5. Use arrow keys then press the "Space Bar" to highlight the Print Request to be cancelled
6. Use tab key then arrow keys to select "Actions"
7. Use the arrow keys to select "Cancel Request"
8. Press enter to select "OK"
9. Log out of SAM

ALTERNATE METHOD


To Display the printer queue for a Datatel printer do the following:

1. "lpstat " ( ie. lpstat ctran1_c )

To Cancel 1 print job in the queue for a Datatel printer do the following:

1. "lpstat "
2. record which printer job you wish to cancel ( ie. ctran1_c-5514 )
3. "cancel " ( ie. cancel ctran1_c-5514 )

To Cancel all print jobs in the queue for a Datatel printer do the following:

1. "su -" (login as root)
1. "lpstat "
3. "cancel -e " ( ie. cancel ctran1_c )
