EPOS/treg Credit Charge Problems (icverify)

Credit charge problem reported during registration process or during monthly reconciliation.

ICVERIFY credit card report, Datatel session report, our bank statements.

Advise caller how to proceed.
What steps must be taken independent of the computer system (Manual Process)
Decide whether the problem can be handled locally or whether we need to call support. Examples of local fixes: resetting the modem after a power failure; terminating pcanywhere`s control of the line. Examples of problems requiring processor (Nova) support: SEQ ERR on credit card report. Examples of problems requiring icverify support: Term id errors. Before 3/7/00 epos1 and epos2 both had the same Serial number and batch id. On 3/7/00, per advice from Nova, we (Ben) contacted epos and gave epos2 its own serial number and set batch ids as follows:
epos1 Set to 45 (last settled 2-14)
epos2 Set to 1 (not settled before)
Which steps must be taken on a computer (Electronic Process):
Check icverify Multiuser program active, pcanywhere not.
Check icverify current buffer, credit card reports.
Check icverify setup (settle time, batch number), terminal id:

To correct corrupted file:
Copy file (save backup). Edit with Notepad.
Test - Run ICVERIFY, Report (Credit Card)

Renew our support contract with icverify? Error log - currently in my directory, EPOS document. More frequent monitoring at DCS for errors shown within report - instead of waiting to hear from district at end of month reconciliation.
