The clerk at the station calls computer center who inturn calls the the Imaging company. The company then sends a person out to take care of the problem or they dail in. |

maging System This system is located in the Records Office and is used for holding student transcripts that can be retrieved at a later date by Evaluators and Counselors. The imaging system consists of two parts, the first is scanning the second is viewing. This application only runs under Access 97. Scanning and Viewing Once the data is scanned from the station it resides on a NT Server (Naboo) that is located in the computer center. The data is scanned into batches every day and the name given to every batch is the day, date and year (mmddyy). Only the clerk operating this station has the security to add or delete transactions. The security for the evaluators or counselors is read only meaning they can just view or print. The software installation for the workstations resides on the Naboo Server in a folder called Naboo/Rawdisk/Setup_34. Make sure that the Naboo drive is mapped to S: and the start the setup, once setup is complete copy icon to the desktop. The college has an ongoing yearly contract with the company called ATI, which supports the system via pc anywhere. An account has been setup of the company under the username ati-filer the password is the same as the login. The vendor dials into the college through a VPN using the account secure.sbccd.cc.ca.us The administrative login is Login Admin Password admin The user account is there last name. |
