Datatel Printing 1. Printing a Query from the colon prompt. Set the printer with the following command. SETPTR ,,,,,, FORM Follow the Query statement with the letters “LPTR”, and the Query will print on the printer assigned with the SETPTR command. An example would be: LIST PERSON FIRST.NAME LAST.NAME LPTR To see a list of the available printers enter the following command at the colon prompt. !ls /usr/spool/lp/request 2. To send reports on the Datatel menus to a particular printer enter … at the Location prompt in the (PDEF) Peripheral Option Defaults screen. A list of available printers will appear. Select the one you want. The PDEF screen will automatically appear when you are running a report. |
