ODBC & DSN Setup for Datatel Connection 1. Run the setup.exe programs in each of the three folders found on Alderaan\Source on Alderaan\Ardent. Network ODBC\setup.exe ODBC\setup.exe Visual Schema Generator\setup.exe 2. Fill in the SQLEDIT32 screen so that is looks exactly like the one below. Start Programs UniDesktop Utilities SQLEDIT32 Fill in Information Press (Add Services) Press (Ping), you should get a message indicating a successful ping. 3. Create a System DSN. Start Settings Control Panel Administrative Tools Data Sources ODBC Drivers – If you successfully completed step 1 you should see a driver named “UniDesktop/ODBC 32-bit Driver”. If not repeat step 1, if so go to System DSN tab. System DSN – Choose Add and fill in with info below. Enter your Unix User name. |
