What we do

We tell the story of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff and the positive impact they make in the Inland Empire and across California.

We partner with the community and advocate with policymakers to ensure our community has access to quality affordable higher education and career training.

The SBCCD Brand

We Put Community at the Center

We serve 21 cities and communities in the heart of the Inland Empire. Our community is strong and aspirational and the SBCCD brand reflects who we are and what we stand for. Our visual identity system distinguishes us as an educational family working together to ensure our community has pathways to opportunity.

Our brand embraces San Bernardino’s iconic arrowhead, a geological landmark etched on the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains that can be seen from miles around. The arrowhead is a symbol of regional heritage and pride.

We Are 100 Years Young and Ready for the Future

We started serving our community in 1926 with a mission of making higher education and career training accessible to all. Today, we serve more than 20,000 students from all walks of life and prepare them for career success in the 21st century.

We Are Top in California

Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College are among four colleges in California to receive the highest level of accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges. This is a vote of full confidence from education experts about the quality of the education we provide. For our students and graduates, this means that their diplomas and certificates will be respected wherever they go.
