Message from the Chief

We help provide a safe and secure learning and working environment for all students and employees. We accomplish our work through a cooperative and coordinated effort involving our campus community and law enforcement agencies.

How can we help you?

Employee Guidance on Interacting with Immigration Officers

If an immigration enforcement officer asks to enter a restricted area on campus, like a classrom in session, faculty and staff are in their legal right to:

  1. Ask the officer for their name, identification and agency affiliation.
  2. Ask for a copy of any warrant or detainer.
  3. Inform the officer that you are not obstructing their process, but need to contact the SBCCD Police Department at (909) 384-4491.

Help is Available for Student's Immigration Questions

If you have questions or concerns about immigration enforcement, free help is available for students, faculty and staff.

Talk to a free immigration service provider to get legal advice and plan how to handle immigration enforcement situations.
