Message from the Chief

We help provide a safe and secure learning and working environment for all students and employees. We accomplish our work through a cooperative and coordinated effort involving our campus community and law enforcement agencies.

Employee Guidance on Interacting with Immigration Officers

If an immigration enforcement officer asks to enter a restricted area on campus, like a classrom in session, faculty and staff are in their legal right to:

Ask the officer for their name, identification and agency affiliation.
Ask for a copy of any warrant or detainer.
Inform the officer that you are not obstructing their process, but need to contact the SBCCD Police Department at (909) 384-4491.

Help is Available for Student's Immigration Questions

If you have questions or concerns about immigration enforcement, free help is available for students, faculty and staff.

Talk to a free immigration service provider to get legal advice and plan how to handle immigration enforcement situations.
