Assistance with Canvas

If you have never used Canvas before or if you are a new student, Canvas may see a little confusing, but no worries! We have some important information that will help you get started with Canvas. 

If you are a brand new student and just registered for courses at Crafton or Valley, it will take 2-4 hours for you to be able to access Canvas. That time frame is how long it takes for WebAdvisor and Canvas to communicate with one another. The same time frame applies to when you register for another course after getting access to Canvas. 

Your login for Canvas is your email address f.last1234@student.sbccd.edu and the password is the same password as your WebAdvisor password.

If you do not see your course on your Canvas Dashboard and it is past that time frame, this means that the instructor has not published (made the course available) for students yet. This usually happens if the class has not started yet, but if you would like us to double check, please reach out to the Help Desk: 909-384-HELP.

There are quite a bit of features in Canvas that can be overwhelming once you get into the system. However, we have a Google site as well as a Canvas course that you can access to help you with the nitty gritty of Canvas.
