Feedback and Accountability

Last modified at 8/22/2024 9:28 a.m.

We’re accountable to you!

We invite you to provide feedback for each interaction you have with the SBCCD Police Department.  This feedback will hold us accountable for our campus students, staff, and community.  Whether that’s from a call with a Dispatcher, an in-person discussion with a Police Officer and/or College Security Officer.  In most instances, a SBCCD Police Officer or College Security Officer will provide you with a business card which includes a QR code to the survey found here when you interact with them in person.

While all questions in the survey are optional, more detailed responses inform us of what we’re doing well and how we can improve. Your responses are anonymous, and any identifying details provided will not be publicly disclosed by the police department. To maintain transparency, quarterly reports on the overall satisfaction ratings will be posted to the Transparency Dashboard.

To increase transparency, SBCCD Police Department established its own Police Accountability Board with students, staff and academics who review complaints made about SBCCD Police and make recommendations to the SBCCD Police Chief.

Your voice matters. To meet our goal of constant improvement, we need to hear your feedback!

Check back soon! A survey is current being development by our team. More information to come.
