Safety and Risk Management
Safety & Risk Management oversees emergency/disaster preparedness related information, including general information on safety/risk programs, safety training, and emergency preparedness for the SBCCD locations.
Environmental Health & Safety
Environmental Health & Safety is responsible for development, oversight and management of environmental health, safety, risk and loss control programs that protect the environment, provide safe and healthy conditions for work and study and comply with applicable local, state and federal regulations. EH&S provides safety/risk/loss program development, educational programs, technical assistance, and health and safety services to the campus communities and district offices.
Environmental Health & Safety also functions as an internal consultant to SBCCD Administrators and heads of academic and administrative units, in addition to faculty/staff members and students in all areas of environmental health, safety, risk and loss control. Environmental Health & Safety provides health and safety investigations/inspections as necessary and is based out of the District Office.
