Classification Study
SBCCD is conducting a Classification and Compensation Study for all classifications within the CSEA unit. The Classification and Compensation Study process will be conducted in three (3) phases, with start and end dates subject to change due to completion of the preceding phase and neogtiations. The timeline is as follows:
Phase 1 (January 2024 - March 2024)

- Instructional Support
Phase 2 (April 2024 – July 2024)
- Student Services
- Business/Fiscal Services
Phase 3 (August 2024 – October 2024)
- Maintenance and Operations/Administrative Services
- Technology Services
- Child Development
Position Description Questionnaire
All CSEA Employees and their Supervisors are being asked to complete a Position Description
Questionnaire (PDQ) through NeoEd. An email will be autogenerated to each CSEA member
within the respecitve classification phase. This is an optional step in the process
and supervisors will only be notified via NeoEd if their member completes the online
form.
PDQ Timeline
CSEA Unit Members are invited to complete a PDQ to highlight potential changes in their classification during the timeline listed below. Timeline is subject to change depndent on due to completion of the preceding phase.
- Phase 1: Open February 1, 2024 and Closes February February 22, 2024
- Phase 2: Open April 14, 2024 and Closes May 10, 2024
- Phase 3: TBD
