and Jobs Act (IIJA)

  • Most commonly known as The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
  • Investment in Renewable Energy: The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law allocates significant funding towards expanding and modernizing renewable energy infrastructure. This includes investments in solar, wind, and other clean energy sources.
  • Improving Public Transportation: A substantial portion of the infrastructure funding is directed towards enhancing public transportation systems. This involves upgrading and expanding public transit networks, making them more accessible, reliable, and energy-efficient. By prioritizing public transportation, the law aims to reduce carbon emissions associated with individual vehicle usage and promote sustainable modes of travel.
  • Resilience and Climate Adaptation: The law includes provisions for improving the resilience of critical infrastructure to the impacts of climate change. This involves upgrading and fortifying infrastructure to withstand extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and other climate-related challenges.
